Spotlights is a Brooklyn-based trio featuring the married couple Mario and Sarah Quintero, as well as drummer Chris Enriquez. Playing a sludgy and heavy brand of Shoegaze, the group’s 2017 LP Seismic and 2018 EP Hanging By Faith are both out on Ipecac Recordings. Spotlights recently returned from a tour with Quicksand and Glassjaw, as well as a recent outing with Pallbearer, and they will return to the road this October for a co-headlining tour with The Life and Times.
In addition to the band’s tour announcement, Spotlights have released a new video for their track “Learn To Breathe“–off of last year’s Seismic LP. The black and white live clip was directed by Ryan Sutherby, producer and cinematographer of the Melvins’ documentary, “The Colossus of Destiny: A Melvins Tale.” You can watch the video below and check out the group’s upcoming tour dates after the YouTube embed.
