Atlanta-based DJ, producer, and label owner Matt Weiner returns to the Dutch label Enfant Terrible with a new release under his TWINS (That Which Is Not Said) moniker. Following up on his 2016 12″ for the label, “Rather Not,” look for the limited edition 7″ “Make Life Before You” to come out on September 30th. Comprised of the tracks “Wait For Harm” and “What Should I Expect,” Weiner’s upcoming effort finds him delving into the darkest realms of synth-pop and techno influenced electronics to deliver two bleak and minimal cuts. While the A-side is a more lyrically driven affair, “What Should I Expect” abstracts those elements to follow a more instrumental tact. Distorted bass oscillations combine with a galloping rhythm here, as ghostly synth tones add to the cut’s queasy sense of mounting dread.
