The Dutch electronic label Enfant Terrible is celebrating it’s 15th year with a handful of exciting new releases including Neugeborene Nachtmusik‘s Take Me To Your Healer LP due out in late February. The solo project of Berlin-based musician Mauritius Hermes, it finds him exploring what he calls “ritual techno,” “tribal industrial,” and “Dada synthwave.”
“Turbulence” draws from a droning and clamorous palette of industrial sounds. While technically it runs at a high bpm rate, judicial placement and minimal use of bass drum give this cut a sort of narcotic slowness. The result is hypnotic and just as likely to draw a listener in to explore deeper psychic realms as it might be to induce dancers into ritualized headbanging.
