Will Wiesenfeld returned last year under his Geotic alias to release his Traversa LP via Ghostly International. Inspired by travel’s ability to free us up to appreciate life from new perspectives, Wiesenfeld explains: “From the very beginning, music was more transportive for me than anything else. In all forms of media, I’m constantly gravitating towards things that allow me to feel something different from my day-to-day life.”
In the spirit of that, Geotic’s new video for “Knapsack” documents a day hike with friends in the Sierras. Shot by Mario Luna and edited by Wiesenfeld himself, the video follows the group high into the mountains as they hike out to a remote alpine lake. Nothing quite says leave your cares behind like a hearty trek up a mountain path, and if it’s with good friends and a trusty canine companion, even better.
