Damaged Bug returns to the bong fried prog of “Slay The Priest” off the 2017 LP Bunker Funk (Castle Face Records). Like a mind-erasing death ray, a mangled synth line scours your consciousness for every last drop of awareness while glorious double drumming draws you further into a catatonic hole of forgetfulness. About halfway in, John Dwyer emerges from the fog of your evaporating synapses with a falsetto vocal delivery that has the unnerving effect of starring the Sphynx in the eyes.
