Watch: The Vile Assembly “Last Century Man”

The Vile Assembly is currently readying their single “Last Century Man” for release on April 5th. The track first appeared on The Vile Assembly’s 2017 EP “The Elephant In The Room.” In anticipation, the band takes aim at careerist politicans, religious hegemony, and corporate culture in this new video for cut.

The band came together after a fortuitous meeting between members Paul Mason, Mark Webb, and Mark Wainwright at a NYC cafe. The lifelong friends had run a Liverpool-based music studio for over two decades, but had never recorded together as a band. Unified by their feeling that the troubles of the world needed to be voiced, and fueled by a righteous anger, the men formed The Vile Assembly.

“Last Century Man” gives voice to the group’s ire through pointed lyrics and a rallying guitar hook. The video for the track features plenty of “vandalized” news real footage of the current idiots in charge. Hand-scrawled and splattered in blood-colored paint, the visuals perfectly mock our current state of socio-political madness.
