Waveshaper Media is readying the Bob Moog documentary Electronic Voyager, as well as a a companion LP entitled Electronic Voyages: Early Moog Recordings 1964-1969. Waveshaper Media is the Tortonto-based production team responsible for the documentary I Dream Of Wires. Their newest effort tells the story of the legendary pioneer through the eyes of his daughter Michelle Moog-Koussa.
Following Moog-Koussa as she visits various musicians and locations important to her father’s history in the US and Europe, the documentary features conversations with Rick Wakeman, Gary Numan, Morton Subotnick, Bernie Worrell (Parliament-Funkadelic), and Jean-Michel Jarre. Exploring her father’s legacy thru her and her families own recollections, as well as those close to him professionally and thru the impact of his inventions, Electronic Voyager is a very personal and intimate portrayal of the electronic music icon.
Waveshaper Media is also readying the companion LP Electronic Voyages: Early Moog Recordings 1964-1969 for release on June 14th. Collecting together rarely heard tracks from Robert Arthur Moog, Herbert Deutsch, Joel Chadabe, Lothar and the Hand People, Intersystems, Ruth White, Max Brand, and Paul Earls, the LP presents 8 tracks of Moog focused music. The vinyl will be issued in a run of 1000 copies, as well as 300 “white label” editions. Both are currently available for pre-order via Waveshaper Media’s Indiegogo campaign for the film.
