Zig Zags have a new video for their track “Punk Fucking Metal” off the band’s fourth long-player, They’ll Never Take Us Alive out now on Riding Easy Records. So far we’ve listened in on the album tracks “Killer of Killers” and “Fallout,” with both cuts displaying the band’s throttling thrash attack and wicked wit. “Punk Fucking Metal” kicks off the group’s recent release and it’s a finger in the face to purist types. Instead, Zig Zags get their peanut butter in your chocolate, and you know what, it tastes fucking great!
The new video for “Punk Fucking Metal” was directed by Calvin Lee Reeder, and it finds the band haunting the margins of LA’s industrial wasteland. Sleazy beaches, graffiti-covered overpasses, and the cities’ paved riverway make for an impressive backdrop, while the band shreds in a neon red room. Hate to mellow the Zig Zag’s harsh, though, but I think that hesher dude that keeps showing up with the skeleton face might be the Grim Reaper.
The band is currently wrapping up European and UK tour dates. You can checkout their upcoming West Coast and Mexico schedule for this coming June, as well as additional European dates, after the YouTube embed below…
