Dystant Recordings returns with episode 005 of their podcast series Invite, and this installment features the Italian-based project Hertz Collision. Originally formed as a duo in 2009 comprised of the producers Francesco Profeti and Pietro Franchini, the pair began releasing music in 2014 before dropping their 2015 LP Shaded Fields on the label SUBSIST.
Hertz Collision would go on to release music on labels like Concrete Music, Serial Number 849, as well as Order & Devotion. In 2018, they put out a pair of 12″‘s: “Solar Shade” with fellow Italian producer Marco Faraone on the label Uncage, as well as the 12″ “Leskin” on EarToGround Records.
As of 2019, though, Hertz Collision is currently helmed only by Francesco Profeti. On this new Dystant Recordings Invite podcast, the producer puts together a nearly hour long collection of minimal leaning techno featuring heavy weight artists like Robert Hood, Alexander Kowalski, Dustin Zahn, and Luke Slater, as well as relative new comers like Eric Cloutier, Avision, and Oceanic.
