Hyperlacrimae is readying their debut LP Through the lies of Mr. Nasotti for release on July 18th via the Italian label Infidel Bodies. The duo is comprised of Erminio Granata, who co-runs Infidel Bodies with Marika Pagano while also producing music under the monikers 11xxx27 and Code27, as well as producer/DJ Carmine Laurenza of the project Nocturnerror. We last heard from Hyperlacrimae in May of 2018 when they were included on Volume 1 of the Infidel Bodies’ Artists Compilation so pure and so perverse.
Hyperlacrimae is billed as a “porn-ceptual industrial project” coming out of “the most polluted suburbs of Naples.” Focused on “melancholic, dreamy, erotic wave tendencies, based on illusory memories,” the project’s combination of Industrial and EBM makes for formidable and somatic music aimed straight for the darkest corners of human desire. The duo explains:
“The main aim is to spread the word of Mr. Nasotti, describing his world in all its aspects: weird habits, dirty perversions, nostalgic thoughts and a strong anti-crowd attitude.”
Through the lies of Mr. Nasotti was recorded by Hyperlacrimae between September and November of 2018. Comprised of 8 original tracks, the release includes remixes from Hypnoskull, Viktor Kalima, Autumns, and Simon Crab (Bourbonese Qualk). Describing the remix effortts, the duo has this to say:
Hypnoskull?- one of the most important exponents of the techno-industrial scene from the 90’s up to now, with a rich discography of indisputable quality – offers us a slow version with punchy kicks and a strong attitude.
Viktor Kalima?- a young Finnish talent from the Infidel Bodies stable – offers us his own personal reinterpretation: an EBM weird tune with post-junglish variations.
Autumns?- a well-known face of the modern Wave scene – gives life to a neurotic outburst of arpeggios and electronic drums that takes us back to the fast rhythms of the 90′ scene.
Simon Crab?- a true legend, leader of the historic post-punk industrial band?bourbonese qualk?- with his slow reinterpretation slowly takes us into another dangerous dimension.
