Today we catch up with the new Peyote Ugly video for their track “Myopia.” The psych-pop three-piece hails from Seattle and it features guitarist/vocalist Elliot Preston, keyboardist/vocalist Brennan Moring, and drummer Noah Packard. The group’s new video was shot and edited by Kyle Todaro, who also plays drums in the local band Antonioni.
With a spiraling guitar riff to draw you in, “Myopia” has an immediate and hypnotic effect. Elliot Preston’s vocal delivery helps set the edge here with a bright but yearning quality that only adds to this track’s centripetal force. Todaro follows suit with performance footage shot in glowing blues and reds. Often composited with dreamy washes of blowing fabric, the visuals only add to this cut’s mysterious qualities.
You can watch the video below and check out Peyote Ugly’s upcoming tour dates after the embed. In addition, don’t miss Kyle Todaro’s recent video for the Antonioni track “Stutter Step.”
