Alessandro Cortini has a new video for the track “BATTICUORE” off his upcoming LP VOLUME MASSIMO due out September 27th via Mute. The visuals are directed by Emilie Elizabeth and Alessandra Leone, and they feature the dancers Maurice Jabar Werner and Darwin Stapel.
The track’s moody atmospherics and eery melody are echoed in “BATTICUORE”‘s visual treatment. With the video’s protagonists wearing masks like blinders, the two interact as best they can. A potent metaphor for the reality tunnels we all inhabit, not even the pair’s intimate embrace erases the fact that each is trapped in their own narrowly defined viewpoint.
