London punks Suicide Generation are back with a brand new single entitled “Prisoner of Love.” The 3-track effort is due out October 10th via an international consortium of labels including Dirty Water Records (UK), Spaghetty Town Records (USA), Family Spree Recordings (Spain), Surfin’ Ki Records (Italy), and Wanda Records (Germany).
With the LPs First Suicide and Last Suicide under their belt, the band’s main songwriting duo of lead singer Sebastian Melmoth and guitarist Vince Suicide returned to the studio this past April to lay down six new cuts. Recorded to tape by Patrice Picard using a vintage analog set-up, the tracks were then mixed and produced by Jim Diamond.
“Prisoner of Love” comes with all the requisite scuzz you’d expect from this crew. An adrenaline-fueled guitar riff whips the boys into a lather and it’s the perfect excuse for Sebastian Melmoth to spit his mouthful of bile. The visuals for the track are directed by the vocalist and they find the band up against the wall when they run into a vicious trio of vixens intent on turning the lads into their amorous captives.
