Chromatics have a new video for the track “You’re No Good” off their LP Closer To Grey surprise-released this week via Italians Do It Better. On the track, Ruth Radelet sings, “I know you’re no good no/But I can’t stay away from you.” Her cool as ice delivery still coos with a dangerous desire setting the stage for this couple’s unhealthy addiction.
The video follows suit with neon visuals soaked in crimson and magenta. Radelet stars with her bandmates as their kaleidoscopic visuals swirl and blur alongside animating geometrics and evocative text. Meanwhile, Radelet stares into the camera like it’s a mirror locking us with her self-absorbed gaze. Seductive, yet remote, she is the perfect projection of the solipsistic seductress hungry for her admirer’s attention.
