Welcome to Cat Valley! But if you needed a map to get here, you’re probably in the wrong place. The “all-womxn” pop-punk band from Bellingham, WA has a new video for their track “Summertime,” and it’s off the group’s self-titled EP up now on Bandcamp. The visuals are directed by Seattle musician/director Amethyst de Wolfe, and we are told:

“The music video uses metaphors to follow the difficult journey that many people (especially womxn and LGBTQ+ folks) go through with finding their sexuality on their own terms (and with their own dildos).”

Cat Valley features Whitney Flinn and Abby Hegge on guitar/vocals, Autumn Marceau on bass, and Melanie Sehman on drums. The groups’ empowered vocals combine with driving melodies as the womxn tackle subjects like “cat-calling, misogyny, and trying to get off in our modern-day patriarchy.” Looking to “get a leg up” on “The Man” too, then don’t miss Cat Valley live in Seattle this coming winter. Check out the dates after the video embed below…
