Sleeparchive is readying the release of his 2xLP Trust for release on March 27th via Tresor. The upcoming effort is Roger Semsroth‘s first return to the vaunted Berlin techno label since his 2019 EP “Revised Recordings.” While the producer is known for his experimental and conceptually based work within the realms of electronic music, Trust features 10 club-ready tracks across its four sides.
Semsroth has been releasing music since the ’90s. The artist grew up in East Berlin and first came to attention with the electro and minimal synth projects Skanfrom and Television Set. Later, influenced by legends like Mika Vainio and Plastikman, Semsroth would move in a more techno-oriented direction with his project Sleeparchive. Active since 2004 when he self-released his “Elephant Island” and “Recycle” EPs, Semsroth’s project first began putting out music on Tresor in 2011 with his “Ronan Point” EP.
Trust finds Sleeparchive mining a propulsive and minimal brand of techno. Unrelentingly rhythmic, the producer knows how to make the most out of just a little while essentializing the genre’s most hypnotic and spine-tingling elements. While no preview tracks have yet been released from the upcoming LP, Semsroth’s 2019 EP “Revised Recordings” included a second version of the new effort’s title cut which you can check out below.
