Higher Learning has an excellent new animated video for the track “Can You Feel It?” The project of producer and visual artist Richard Forbes-Hamilton, the cut is off his 2020 debut EP of the same name out now on the UK label Beat Concern Recordings. Epic in scope, “Can You Feel It?” combines pop instincts with a left-field approach to production and composition. Brimming with a cosmic ambiance, Forbes-Hamilton adds reverb-laced sound design to mysterious and yearning vocals for a song not soon forgotten.
The multi-talented producer has also created the track’s animated visual treatment. Echoing the cut’s sense of isolation, hence the question “Can You Feel It?”, Forbes-Hamilton’s outer space heroine continues her trek across the universe despite facing what could be crippling loneliness as the only passenger aboard her cosmic cruiser. With florescent hued ennui beginning to color her days and nights in a blurry, flickering white, she discovers a way out when she uses dance as a way to free herself and find inspiration once again.
