CMON has shared a new video for the track “Mindboggling” off their Confusing Mix of Nations LP due out this week on April 3rd via Mexican Summer. So far in the lead up to the release, we’ve tuned you into the track “Zoo” as well as the video for “Peter Pan.” “Mindboggling” finds the duo of Josh da Costa and Jamen Whitelock crafting more of that delicious ear candy. Breezy bubblegum chops never get too precious as the pair’s lo-fi approach wraps sugar-sweet vocals and cotton candy melodies into some tasty grooves. The video for the cut is directed by the artist Salvador Cresta and the images are inspired by Andy Warhol’s famous photographic silkscreen prints.
CMON’s April tour dates with Ariel Pink are currently on hold but you can catch Josh da Costa’s live-stream DJ set for the Indieheads Festival this Wednesday, April 1st at 4pm ET/1pm PT. Additionally, he has put together a playlist for Brooklyn Vegan’s “Stay Home” playlist series, including previously unreleased music. You can check that out here.
