Patricia has a new video for the track “Downlink” off the electronic producer’s upcoming Maxyboy LP due out on June 26th via Ghostly International. Max Ravitz released his 2017 LP Several Shades Of The Same Color on the Ghostly imprint Spectral Sound, but this is his first for the label proper. “Downlink” is a gently tweaked affair that finds the producer weaving propulsive and deft rhythms around an acid-laced bass-line and smile-inducing melody of snoring whales.
The musician joins forces with his partner Josephine Ravitz to craft this analog-based visualizer for the track. Hacking into a vintage Vectrex game console from the early ’80s, the pair hooked up a modular synthesizer to control the screen. The results were then rescanned using a camera and colorized using LZX modular video synthesizers. You can watch the results below…
