The Italian psych-rockers Bee Bee Sea are back with a brand new single entitled “Daily Jobs” off their upcoming LP Day Ripper due out October 9th via Wild Honey Records. The opening cut from the forthcoming album, the band explains:
“The prospect of having a shitty job for the rest of our lives can be suffocating. This song, and the album as a whole, are basically the summary of our lives in the last couple of years, split between working in a factory during the day and playing our music at night. Night is a dream and a day… Day Ripper!”
“Daily Jobs” has that kind of frantic energy that always seems ready to burst at the seams. Cooped up in an office or factory, this song is ready to bust out of its skin for a night of madcap fun. But, the problem is, time keeps slowing down. It’s like that scene in the movies where the hands on a clock start spinning backward as the agonizing monotony mounts. Echoed by the song’s changing time signatures, ultimately “Daily Jobs” finds its joy in raucous sonic abandon that leaves daytime in the dust.
