Mike Polizze (Purling Hiss, Birds of Maya) is readying his Long Lost Solace Find LP for release on July 31st via Paradise of Bachelors. This will be Polizze’s debut for the label and the musician’s first solo outing under his own moniker. “Revelation” is the lead single from the record, and it features longtime friend Kurt Vile on backing vocals and…trumpet! A true Philadelphia affair, the album was recorded at Uniform Recording by The War on Drugs engineer Jeff Zeigler.

While Polizze’s early days with Birds of Maya and Purling Hiss found him shredding deeply into epic guitar solos of flaming noise, on Long Lost Solace Find he turns to his skills as a fingerstyle player and singer with laidback, sunny day results. As he explains via this hand-written note, the album’s twelve songs are largely acoustic “love songs and moody jams.” Invited over to help out on the record, Polizze’s buddy Kurt Vile explains:

I remember one day, fresh from the road, I brought over a National resonator that I had just bought on tour… some harmonicas… and my trumpet (on request) and, shit, I gotta say that might be the best trumpet I done laid down in a while’s time… for you, Mike! So many of these songs give me chills.
