Andrée Burelli has an entrancing new video for the track “Cuore Di Piume” from her upcoming LP De Sidera due out October 16th via American Dreams Records. Written and recorded during a temporary stay this past winter in her home country of Italy, Sardinia in particular, the Berlin-based musician spent her time absorbed in the beauty of the natural landscape around her. She explains:
“I closed myself in a special, intimate, creative place. I watched the sunset through my window every afternoon during the mild winter in a town between mountains and sea.”
Her music is full of the rapture of that experience as evidenced on the gorgeous song “Cuore Di Piume.” Meaning ‘heart of feathers,’ Burelli tells us it is “a soundscape behind a kiss.” Loop-based, but evolving over time, the track is a reflection of her interest in Hindustani classical music and the meditative states of reverie made available thereby. The video follows suit compositing Sardinia’s wide-open and expansive landscape with kaleidoscopic dance movements meant to echo a bodily form taking flight.
