Thurston Moore Group performs via Livestream from London’s Cafe OTO today at 9 pm BST / 4 pm ET. To view the performance you must be logged into the Cafe OTO website and have purchased a ticket. Partial proceeds from the show will be donated to the venue, which like many throughout the world, are struggling to stay alive in the face of the pandemic. In other words, if you like live music–and we know you do–it’s time to help out!
The Thurston Moore Group includes the guitarist/vocalist alongside My Bloody Valentine‘s Deb Googe on bass and baritone bass guitar, Nøught’s James Sedwards on electric guitar, and The Oscillation’s Jem Doulton on drums. Additionally, while those members perform live from Cafe OTO, they will be joined by electronic musician Jon Leidecker (aka Wobbly), who will be live-streamed into the mix from San Francisco. The group will perform songs from Thurston Moore’s new album By the Fire out now on The Daydream Library Series.
Thurston Moore has also announced a short, socially-distanced European tour this coming November with stops planned in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. You can check out the dates below…
