Molchat Doma return with a lyric video for “Otveta Net” from their upcoming LP Monument due out November 13th on Sacred Bones. Following up on the record’s anthemic cut “Ne Smeshno,” and the club-oriented track “Discoteque,” the group’s newest offering strikes a more introspective mood.
Featuring an early Factory Records’ vibe, on “Otveta Net” Molchat Doma’s ’80’s-style synth-pop seems wistful and somber all at the same time. Meanwhile, singer Egor Shkutko‘s apartment-bound isolation finds him haunted by ghosts of nostalgia and regret.
