Tunes of Negation features accomplished producer Shackleton, who first came to prominence in the early rise of the UK dubstep scene. The project finds him alongside vocalist Heather Leight, keyboardist Takumi Motokawa, and vibraphonist Raphael Meinhart. The group is currently readying their sophomore LP Like The Stars Forever And Ever for release on November 26th via Cosmo Rhythmatic.
“Your Message Is Peace” is an extraordinary track that finds Tunes of Negation steeped in an expansive and mushroomy ambiance. Electronica meets psychedelic New Age as this track organically morphs from chaotic atmospheres of noisy energy to more serene dimensions alongside a river of flowing water. But of course, the destination is not the point here as the journey surprises at every turn.
The video for the cut is based on the album’s Hokusai-inspired gatefold created by Zeke Clough. The artwork comes to life in vivid, 3D animation with video editing from O. McGilchrist and creative direction from Commonolithic.
