Terrence Dixon returns today with the third installment of his classic From The Far Future series on Tresor Records. The longstanding Detroit-based producer first launched the series on the label back in 2000, returning in 2012 with part two. Dixon’s sound has become synonymous with a minimalist approach to Detroit techno by combining abstract futurist soundscapes and an unadulterated brand of funk-driven techno. On From The Far Future Pt. 3, he continues that cinematic approach to the genre.

Unconditional Love” is the seventh cut on the new 16-track collection. It pulsates stylishly with a heartbeat kick at its core, landing it somewhere between the more ambient and dancefloor-oriented offerings on the album. A dreamy sense of longing issues forth as a pointillist melody reverberates through the darkness. Meanwhile, a disembodied voice stares at the wall, wondering: “What did I do/Is that enough/When you’re gone/I still miss you.”
