The Cavemen are back with a killer 7″, “Am I A Monster?” out now on Pig Baby Records. Pressed on Halloween orange vinyl and with a cut called “Schizophrenia” on the backside, this hand-numbered, limited edition pressing of 500 copies is going fast. When we last heard from the band this past November, they raised awareness for New Zealand’s End of Life Choice Act with an EP entitled “Euthanise Me” out on Slovenly Records.
“Am I A Monster?” is another onslaught of raw punk abandon. Fueled by hyper-active guitar and fume huffing low-end, the boys move from glam strut to headlong charge with intoxicated ease. Meanwhile, vocals howl in the kind of anguish that comes from looking in the mirror only to find a mutant werewolf with a head wound staring back. This is the real creep show shit.
