Killer Kin dropped their debut 7″, “Sonic Love/Narrow Mind” via Pig Baby Records, and it’s available in a limited edition run of 300 copies on red vinyl. Formed in the Winter of 2019 by vocalist Matt Lea and guitarist Chloe Rose, the pair has fleshed out the project with lead guitarist Brendan Toller, bassist Screamin’ Dan Soto, and drummer Jason Kyek. Together, the group plays an explosive brand of garage rock featuring plenty of distortion-drenched guitar and leather-clad, glam attitude.
“Sonic Love” opens with an ear-splitting peel of distortion and blood-curdling scream before the band puts the peddle to the metal in a high-octane sonic assault. Super-charged guitar and bass growl explode in a conflagration of sound as Lea’s spirited vocal attack leads the group in a dead-pan call-and-response that comes complete with plenty of tough-guy back up.
