Camila Fuchs are back today with a new video for their hypnotic track “Mess” from the pair’s 2020 album Kids Talk Sun out now on Felte. The effort was recorded by Spacemen 3/Sonic Boom’s Peter Kember, and on this cut Camila de Laborde and Daniel Hermann-Collini explore a moody, bass driven atmosphere with rippling arpeggios and spectral vocals. Discussing the track, the band explains:
“This song is about a place where we’ve all been. It welcomes the sharing, the questioning, the urge and nature of talking, it’s about being open to actively get to know each other.”
It should be noted that the video for “Mess” comes with an epilepsy warning. Created by Camila de Laborde and edited with the help of her sister Manuela de Laborde, together they combine strobing visuals and constantly shifting perspective to create an experience that is both disorienting and entrancing.
While you’re at it, don’t miss the Camila Fuchs video for “Moon’s Mountain,” also off the album Kids Talk Sun.
