Sturqen has unveiled a very intriguing new video for their track “Império,” off the electronic duo’s new digital album Pantera out today on Nervu. Hailing from Porto, Portugal, the latest effort finds the pair crafting minimalist sonic landscapes using finely detailed sonic elements and a shifting perspective.
“Império”‘s introverted atmosphere is intensified using shivers of searing noise, hushed pulses of rhythm, and the head-nodding hypnotics of a single bass tone. The visuals follow suit with an eerie set of monochromatic images. Empty stairwell, neon-lit window, and non-descript landscape become interspersed with abstracted glitches of camera roll as these various video feeds fuse into a cryptic fever dream.
