Georgia Anne Muldrow has released a new visualizer for her track “Unforgettable,” off the musician/producer’s upcoming effort VWETO III out on May 21st via FORESEEN and Epistrophik Peach Sound. Like the album’s first single, “Mufaro’s Garden,” which came with an Instagram call-to-action for visual artists, this newest offering is accompanied by a call out to rappers, singers, poets, and beatboxers to add their vocals to the track. Creators are asked to story or post videos of their submissions and hashtag #VWETOIII and tag @Georgia.Muldrow and @Foreseenent, who’ll re-story the entries, giving participants further exposure.
While VWETO III continues Muldrow’s beats-based series, her multi-dimensional musical skills mean that it works as an album also. Following up on the jazz-inflected cut “Mufaro’s Garden,” “Unforeseen” is a playful and stylish funk odyssey. Warm rippling baselines and a haunting synth melody open the track before Georgia’s plangent vocals and kinetic rhythms propel this song through a series of dramatic progressions.
