Red Fang “Why”

Red Fang returns this week with a new video for the “Why” off the band’s upcoming LP Arrows due out June 4th. Following up on their Whitey McConnaughy directed video for the cut “Funeral Coach,” this visual effort sees the group returning to work with the Portland-based writer/director Ansel Wallenfang. Bassist/vocalist Aaron Beam explains:

“Whoa!!! This video is JAM-PACKED with thrills, chills and spills. Our buddy Ansel Wallenfang, director of the music video/video game for our track, ‘Antidote,’ is back with a wild and hilarious, but also touching story about a special group of friends who play together as the in-house band for a casual pizza restaurant. Things get a lot darker than you might imagine. We hope it’s not too cheesy!”

“Why” recounts the tragic tale of the infamous Birthday party mascot Arnie Von Party, and his hard rocking band The Party Pals. The video is a sobering reminder about the dangers of pizza addiction. Once a family favorite beloved by kids and adults alike, Arnie’s fall from a pie-lovin’ party animal to straight-up parmesan junkie is hard to watch. But, if it wakes others up to the perils of a slice of pepperoni, so be it.

Red Fang has announced they will play the Louder Than Life Festival on Sept. 26, and a special Halloween show with All Them Witches at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Halloween. Additional dates will be announced soon…
