Paris-based electronic producer, The Fifth Stigma, has released a wicked new EP cassette/digital album entitled “Deprived of Glory” via the Italian techno/industrial label Infidel Bodies. The latest effort is steeped in “medieval oniric nostalgia,” inspired by the primordial human struggles of the ancient world and their continued resonance with current history. Employing industrially-themed rhythms complete with deep, dungeon-like kicks, battle-ready snares, and plenty of iron clanging accouterments, The Fifth Stigma creates atmospheres full of ancient mystery and sacrificial dread. In addition to the EP’s five original cuts, look for “Deprived of Glory” to include remixes by the producers Templer, Rommek, and Yuji Kondo, as well as the duo Hyperlacrimae.
