Lucid Express has a gorgeous new track entitled “Hotel 65” from their upcoming self-titled debut LP out July 16th via Kanine Records. The Hong Kong-based five-piece follow up on their previous single “Hollowers” with another shimmering dose of shoegaze. “Meet me outside,” sings Kim Ho on the new song inspired by the guesthouse where she stayed when visiting the UK. Meanwhile, spiraling melodies explode into blaring kaleidoscopes of sound as light and shadow mix in exuberant ways. Creatively presenting the track’s lyrics on mirrors, notebooks, and scraps of paper, the video collages together footage shot in the band’s native Hong Kong, as well as Vietnam, Japan, the UK, and United States.
