Domingæ returns today with “Archaeans,” the second single from the Föllakzoid founder’s upcoming A/V release “Æ” due out Sept 10th (digital)/Oct 8th (vinyl) via Sacred Bones. This past July, we first told you about the project when Domingæ released the first of three videos, “Æva & Dæmon (excerpts).” The release coincided with the launch of a GoFundMe campaign seeking to help the artist relocate from Mexico City to New York City to “continue her transition safely” in the US.

“Archaeans” is the next audio installment from the upcoming project, with word that a video will follow later this month. Domingæ reminds us that the “notion of individuals as part of a universe that is singular and separate from the whole is obsolete.” Additionally, we are “deconstructed and dissolved into multividuals, parts, and whole of the multiverses that manifest as reality.” The second single from “Æ” continues the sonic dramatization of this central premise. A harrowing evocation of the transition from the separate individual to the fully assimilated but dissolved, multividual, the process goes from subtle to eviscerating as resonating bells and inner ambiance give way to scouring blasts of noise.
