Joyer have a new video today for the track “I Was Wrong,” off their forthcoming album Perfect Gray due out September 24th via the Philadelphia label Julia’s War. Comprised of the brothers Nick and Shane Sullivan, the pair make a discordant brand of indie-pop that is strangely infectious. “I Was Wrong” twists off-kilter guitar and keys to create a looped blizzard of echoing sound, as intimately delivered lyrics cast ominous shadows. The result is disorienting and quietly devastating. The video for the song combines a lo-fi blend of B-roll horror and psych film into a jump-cut narrative that brings doom and destruction at every turn.
